THE GOLDEN BOX - by Christi J Hay-Roe

THE GOLDEN BOX

The child of God was dressed in the finest purple robe, trimmed with snow-white fur. The trail of her robe flowed long and beautiful behind her as she walked toward the throne. She was carrying a beautiful, ornately carved, golden box in her outstretched hands. When she arrived at the throne, she gazed up at the Lord quizzically and asked Him, “What is in this box?” He answered her and said, “It is your heart, it is the greatest gift you could ever give me.” He smiled at the child of God and answered her, “I will take your golden box and I will fill it with wonderful things; to bless you and to guide you in your life. You will know that I am your Lord and King. I will go before you and make a way for you because I love you and you are my child.”

This is a picture I received one day during my devotions. I was the child of God wearing the finest purple robe and I was the one holding the golden box. It was me who was walking toward His throne. It was my golden box that He said He would fill with wonderful things in exchange for my heart. I was undone by this picture. It overwhelmed me with His goodness and His love and devotion for me. I know it’s in the secret place that these wonderful things will be revealed to me. In the secret place is where the exchange will take place. As we spend time with Him, He will reveal more of

Himself to us.

This picture is not just for me. Envision yourself dressed in the purple robe, carrying your own golden box. When you get to the throne, give Jesus your heart and enter into the divine exchange that takes place. It will be the biggest adventure of your life.

1 Peter 5:7 (NKV) Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

1 John 3:1 (NKJV) says; Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
